Alberto Tomba, Erik Guay, Justin Murisier, Fränzi Aufdenblatten, Frederica Brignone et Edgar Grospiron confirment leur présence le 2 avril 2011 à Verbier.

Ils rejoignent les stars déjà annoncées: Didier Cuche, Didier Défago, Chemmy Alcott et Luc Alphand.

Verbier, le 17 mars 2011. Il y aura du beau monde à Verbier le 2 avril prochain. Comme d’habitude, la station sera une nouvelle fois «the place to be», «the place to party». Les meilleurs skieurs et skieuses du circuit pro seront en effet présents à Verbier, le 2 avril 2011, pour la 12ème édition du Verbier High Five by Carlsberg. Les athlètes suivants viennent de confirmer leur présence:

Erik Guay, récent champion du monde de descente à Garmisch Partenkirchen. Il sera présent pour la première fois. Le Canadien se réjouit de sa venue dans la station bagnarde. Il pourra ainsi faire plaisir à ses nombreux fans.
Justin Murisier, le «régional de l’étape» (il réside sur la commune de Bagnes) ne pouvait manquer cette grande fête du ski et marquer ainsi d’une pierre blanche ses débuts prometteurs en Coupe du Monde.
Fränzi Aufdenblatten, la Zermattoise se fera un plaisir de mettre le feu sur les pistes et au Chalet Carlsberg.
Federica Brignone, la fille de Maria Rosa Quario vient de remporter la médaille d’argent en slalom géant aux championnats du monde de Garmisch Partenkirchen

Alberto Tomba en «guest star »

Autre première pour cette édition 2011, Alberto Tomba, légende vivante du ski sera présent pour la première fois au Verbier High Five by Carlsberg. L’Italien sera l’un des Carlsberg’s Friends et animera la manifestation avec sa bonne humeur habituelle en compagnie du Français Edgar Grospiron
Ces 6 nouveaux noms viennent se rajouter à la liste déjà annoncée mi-février.
Didier Cuche, sera présent pour la 5ème fois. Le skieur suisse qui vient d’annoncer qu’il poursuivait sa carrière une année supplémentaire a confirmé qu’il est bien le meilleur descendeur de la saison en remportant le globe de la spécialité, la descente de Kitzbuehl pour la 4ème fois et la médaille d’argent à la descente des Championnats du monde de Garmisch-Partenkirchen. Il se réjouit de terminer sa saison en beauté. Cette manifestation festive lui tient en effet très à cœur, lui qui adore le contact avec les fans et l’esprit de compétition amical qui règne durant cette manifestation.
Tous ces athlètes seront bien entourés puisque trois «Carlsberg’s Friends» ont déjà donné leur accord. Il s’agit du Français Luc Alphand (10ème participation) qui participera aux courses, du Suisse Didier Défago (7ème participation) et de la Britannique Chemmy Alcott (5ème participation), tous deux blessés, mais qui seront de la fête. Les «Carlsberg’s Friends» sont en quelque sorte les ambassadeurs du Verbier High Five by Carlsberg et seront présents pour animer la manifestation de différentes manières.

La fête du ski

N’hésitez pas à vous inscrire à cette fête du ski qui se déroule dans une atmosphère festive et conviviale et qui permet aux skieurs de terminer sur les chapeaux de roue leur saison et au public de faire la fête à leurs héros. Le programme du Verbier High Five commence par la Fête d’Ouverture et la présentation des Pros, le vendredi 1er avril dès 17 heures 30 sur la Place Centrale. Le samedi, dès 10 heures, cinq courses sont programmées (Géant, Vitesse, Skiercross ,Triathlon et Slalom parallèle). Le public a la chance de côtoyer les stars et pour les meilleurs de faire équipe avec eux lors du Slalom Parallèle. A l’issue des compétitions un «After –ski» est prévu au Pub Mont  Fort, où les Pros feront la fête avec leurs fans. Pour clore le Verbier High Five by Carlsberg, une «Charity Night» est encore prévue le samedi soir au profit de Right To Play.

Verbier, 17 March 2011. There will be many famous people in Verbier on 2nd April and, as normal, this ski resort will be the place to be; the place to party. The best skiers on the pro circuit will be there for the 12th edition of the Verbier High Five by Carlsberg. The following athletes have confirmed their presence:

Erik Guay, from Canada. The recently crowned downhill World Champion at Garmisch Partenkirchen, will be present for the first time and is greatly looking forward to coming to this resort in the Bagnes commune.  His participation will give pleasure to his many fans.
Justin Murisier, coming from the Swiss commune of Bagnes in which Verbier lies, Justin decided he could not miss this grand skiing celebration and wanted to make his mark on the last skiing event of the season.
Fränzi Aufdenblatten, this will be the third appearance of the Zermatt skier. Her friendly personality always brings warmth to the slopes and to Chalet Carlsberg.
Federica Brignone, the daughter of Italian Maria Rosa Quario, has just won the silver medal at the World Championships Giant Slalom in Garmisch Partenkirchen

Alberto Tomba «guest star »

Another first for the 2011 Verbier High Five by Carlsberg, is the presence of Alberto Tomba. This living legend from Bologna, Italy, whose medal count includes three Olympic golds and two World Championship golds, will be one of Carlsberg’s Friends. He will contribute his characteristic humour to the day’s activities. Alberto will be joined by Edgar Grospiron, the “Albertville Gold” moguls skier from France and who skied at the very first High Five, back in 2000.
These six new names have been added to those already announced in February:
Didier Cuche, will be present in Verbier for the 5th time. This Swiss downhill skier, who has just announced that he will continue for another year, has had yet another incredible season. He took the World Cup downhill globe, won the Kitzbuehel downhill for the 4th time and got the silver at the Garmisch World Championships. Didier always enjoys the High Five in Verbier because it gives him the chance to meet his fans and take part in the event’s friendly competition.
All these athletes will be accompanied by « Carlsberg Friends ». Alongside “La Bomba”, will be France’s Luc Alphand (10th participation) and who will race all the High Five disciplines; the Swiss downhiller, Didier Défago (7ème participation); and the effervescent British Chemmy Alcott (5ème participation). Due to injury, all of these skiers have been unable to race competitively this year, but are fit enough for the party! The «Carlsberg’s Friends» are more like ambassadors of the Verbier High Five by Carlsberg and will be there to take part in the fun and celebrations.

The celebration of skiing

Do not hesitate to register for this great celebration of the end of the pro-racing ski season. It always takes place in a friendly atmosphere and gives the public the chance to meet their heroes.

The High Five programme commences with the Opening Party and presentation of the Pros, on Friday 1st April at 17:30 on the Place Centrale. Then, on Saturday at 10:00, the racing starts (Giant Slalom, Speed, Skiercross, Triathlon and Parallel Slalom). This gives the public the opportunity to rub shoulders with the Pros, and then the best of the amateurs get to make up a Pro-Am team for the Parallel Slalom. After the awards, the “After-ski” party begins in Verbier’s Pub Mont Fort, where pros and public can enjoy some well-earned Carlsberg beer.
 
To close the 2011 Verbier High Five by Carlsberg, the pros will attend a «Charity Night» dinner  for the benefit of “Right To Play”.

Die besten Ski-Asse des alpinen Profizirkus treffen sich am 2. April 2011 zur 12. Ausgabe des Verbier High Five by Carlsberg. Die folgenden Athleten haben gerade ihre Teilnahme zugesagt:

Erik Guay, der frisch gebackene Abfahrtsweltmeister von Garmisch-Partenkirchen, ist zum ersten Mail dabei. Der Kanadier freut sich auf seinen Besuch im Val de Bagnes – genau wie seine zahlreichen Fans.
Justin Murisier, der Einheimische (er wohnt in der Gemeinde Bagnes, zu der auch Verbier gehört), will dieses grosse Skifest auf keinen Fall verpassen und damit auch seine viel versprechenden ersten Weltcupresultate feiern.
Fränzi Aufdenblatten, die Zermatterin, wird sowohl auf der Piste als auch im Chalet Carlsberg kräftig einheizen.
Federica Brignone, Tochter von Maria Rosa Quario, hat an der WM in Garmisch-Partenkirchen die Silbermedaille im Riesenslalom gewonnen.

Alberto Tomba als «Guest Star»

Eine weitere Premiere im Jahr 2011: Die Skilegende Alberto Tomba ist erstmals mit von der Partie am Verbier High Five by Carlsberg. Der Italiener wird als einer der «Carlsberg’s Friends» mit seiner gewohnten guten Laune für Stimmung sorgen – gemeinsam mit dem Franzosen Edgar Grospiron.
Diese sechs Namen ergänzen die bereits Mitte Februar publizierte illustre Teilnehmerliste.
Didier Cuche ist zum fünften Mal dabei. Der Schweizer Spitzenfahrer, der vor Kurzem eine Verlängerung seiner Karriere um ein Jahr bekannt gegeben hat, konnte seine Position als bester Abfahrtsspezialist mit dem Gewinn des Weltcups, dem vierten Sieg in der Abfahrt von Kitzbühel und der Silbermedaille in der WM-Abfahrt von Garmisch-Partenkirchen bestätigen. Er freut sich darauf, in Verbier seinen Saisonabschluss gebührend zu feiern. In der Tat liegt ihm diese Veranstaltung sehr am Herzen, liebt er doch den Kontakt zu den Fans und die freundschaftliche Wettkampfstimmung, die den Anlass prägt.

Alle diese Athleten befinden sich in bester Gesellschaft, denn drei weitere «Carlsberg’s Friends» haben ebenfalls bereits zugesagt. Es sind dies der Franzose Luc Alphand (zehnte Teilnahme), der auch an den Rennen teilnehmen wird, der Schweizer Didier Défago (siebte Teilnahme) und die Britin Chemmy Alcott (fünfte Teilnahme), beide verletzt, aber beim Fest mit dabei. Die «Carlsberg’s Friends» sind sozusagen die Botschafter und Botschafterinnen des Verbier High Five by Carlsberg und werden den Anlass auf vielfältige Weise bereichern.

Das Skifest

Melden Sie sich am besten gleich für dieses Skifest an, an dem die Skiprofis den Abschluss ihrer Saison ausgelassen, bei toller Stimmung und in Gesellschaft ihrer Fans feiern können. Das Verbier High Five beginnt mit der Opening Party und der Präsentation der Profis am Freitag, 1. April, um 17.30 Uhr auf der Place Centrale. Für den Samstag stehen ab 10 Uhr fünf Rennen auf dem Programm: Riesenslalom, Skicross, Geschwindigkeitsmessung, Triathlon und Parallelslalom. Das Publikum hat dabei Gelegenheit, die Stars aus der Nähe kennenzulernen, und die erfolgreichsten Rennteilnehmer fahren im Parallelslalom sogar mit den Cracks in derselben Mannschaft. Nach Abschluss der Wettkämpfe treffen sich Profis und Fans im Pub Mont Fort zum Après-Ski und lassen die Korken knallen. Seinen Abschluss findet das Verbier High Five by Carlsberg mit einer Charity Night zugunsten von Right to Play.
