Le Verbier High Five by Carlsberg marque la fin de la saison du Cirque Blanc et cette fête se déroule chaque année à Verbier depuis dix ans. Cette année, la participation sera relevée, puisque Didier Défago sera de la fête. Le champion olympique de descente tient en effet à participer à cet événement dont il est un des fidèles participants. A ses côtés, on retrouvera le Canadien Manuel Osborne-Paradis (2e au Lauberhorn 2010), la Britannique Chemmy Alcott (plus de 160 courses de Coupe du Monde) ou encore le Liechtensteinois Marco Buechel (vainqueur du Super-G de Kitzbühel en 2008) et le Français Luc Alphand (1er au classement général de la Coupe du Monde 1997). D’autres grands noms sont en attente de confirmation…
Pour rappel, le concept du Verbier High Five by Carlsberg se base sur la rencontre entre skieurs et snowboarders professionnels et amateurs. Les pros invités se mesurent ainsi entre eux, mais aussi à quelque 350 amateurs, dont les meilleurs après les quatre premières épreuves feront équipe avec les champions dans le slalom parallèle final. Pour tous, public et médias y compris, le High Five constitue une opportunité unique de skier ensemble ou de simplement échanger quelques mots, le tout dans une ambiance détendue et informelle, très « après-ski ».

Didier Défago confirmed
The Verbier High Five by Carlsberg marks the end of the “White Circus” and this celebration has taken place each year in Verbier for the last ten years. This year, it will happen on March 27 and many stars will attend the event. The first to mention is the recent Olympic champion in downhill, Didier Défago. He will compete along with the Canadian Manuel Osborne-Paradis (2nd in the downhill in Wengen in 2010), the British Chemmy Alcott (more than 160 World Cup starts), the Liechtenstien skier Marco Büchel (winner of the Super-G in Kitzbühel in 2008) and , from France, Luc Alphand (Winner of the overall World Cup 1997). The concept of the Verbier High Five by Carlsberg is based on the combining of professional and amateur skiers and snowboarders. The invited pros compete with each other, but also with some 350 amateurs, from which the best after the first four competitions make up a team with the “Champions” in the finals of the parallel slalom. For all, including the media and the public, the High Five presents a unique opportunity to ski, or simply exchange some words, with the pros – all in a relaxed and informal “After-ski” atmosphere.

Nach dem Verbier High Five by Carlsberg macht der Ski Zirkus Sommerpause. Bevor es aber soweit ist, wird in Verbier seit über 10 Jahren die Saison nochmals richtig ausgeläutet. Und diese Ausgabe (am 27.März) hat es in sich: Abfahrts-Olympiasieger Didier Défago hat seine Teilnahme bereits bestätigt. Folgende Profis werden ebenfalls am High Five teilnehmen: der Kanadier Manuel Osborne-Paradis (2er im Lauberhorn 2010), die Engländerin Chemmy Alcott (mehr als 160 Starts in der Weltcup), der Liechtensteiner Marco Büchel (1er beim Super-G in Kitzbühel in 2008) sowie der Franzose Luc Alphand (Gewinner der Weltcup in 1997). Andere Namen werden wir Ihnen bald mitteilen können.
Kernelement des Anlasses ist ein Plauschwettkampf mit Amateuren und professionellen Ski- und Snowboard-Fahrern. Die eingeladenen Cracks messen sich einerseits untereinander, andererseits aber auch mit den 350 Amateuren, von denen sich die Besten der ersten vier Disziplinen jeweils zusammen mit einem Pro im Parallelslalom gegen andere Teams messen. Der High Five bietet allen Medien, Schneesport- und Lifestyle-Interessierten eine optimale Plattform um in entspannter "Après-Ski"-Athmosphäre ein bisschen Ski zu fahren oder auch nur das eine oder andere Wort mit den Pros zu wechseln.
Was die Teilnahme der Ski Cracks betrifft können wir Ihnen bereits die Teilnahme von Didier Défago und Luc Alphand bestätigen. Wir werden Ihnen nach den Olympischen Spielen die Namen weiterer Athleten mitteilen, die am High Five teilnehmen werden.
