RULES

To participate in this fantastic event, you must fulfill the participation criteria and comply with the regulations of the Organisers of the Verbier High Five by Carlsberg. These are shown below: 

Age limit

Participants must be at least 18 years old.

Obligation to wear a helmet

It is obligatory to wear the ski helmet which is supplied by the Organisers, for all High Five skiing events. 

Competitor limitations

The High Five is open to a maximum of 300 competitors. Regular entries are taken in date order. You will receive personal confirmation from the Organisers. An entry is only valid when payment has been efected.

Categories

There are separate categories for "Men" and "Women", and for "Skis" and "Snowboards". All other skiing devices will be classified under one of these categories. The Organisers reserve the right to accept or decline use of other devices at their sole discretion.

Entry fee

The cost of registration via Internet is CHF 80 / € 55. This fee includes a number bib, an exclusive Alpina ski helmet and a beer voucher which can be redeemed at the Carlsberg After-Ski party in the Pub Montfort. If you register on-site in Verbier, the entry fee will be CHF 100 /  € 65.

Sign-up date

The last possible date to register your participation via the Internet is the 20th March 2010. However, if the maximum number of participants has not been reached by that date, it may still be possible to register on site, at the registration office in Verbier.

Ranking

Participants will only receive an overall ranking if they have raced in all the first 4 disciplines.

Cancellation/reduction

The Organisers reserve the right to change the date, or cancel the event, or reduce the programme to the extent necessary. In case of complete cancellation before beginning of event, the cost of the registration will be reimbursed, provided the helmet was not already given out. No reimbursement whatsoever, will be made in the case of partial cancellation.

Instructions of the Organisers

Participants must strictly comply with all directives and instructions given by the Organisers. The Organisers reserve the right to exclude any participant who does not comply with these instructions or who is acting in a manner which is considered dangerous, or is endangering other participants, spectators or members of the organisation.

Responsibility

Participation in skiing and snowboard events carries risks of a fall or an accident. All participants in the Verbier High Five by Carlsberg accept these risks and recognize that they participate at their own risk and under their own responsibility. They are liable for damage that they may cause to others. To the extent permitted by law, any liability of the Organisers and their sub-contractors for any act or omissions of their officers, employees or auxiliaries, as well as any liability of such persons is expressly excluded.

Jurisdiction

Any dispute in relation with or arising out of the event, between the participants and the Organisers and/or its officers, employees or Auxiliaries and/or sub-contractors shall be exclusively submitted to the courts of competent jurisdiction at the seat of the Organisers (Verbier VS).
